High Seas Youth Ambassadors, representing youth from across the globe, have released a Youth Declaration outlining their key priorities for a new and ambitious BBNJ Treaty and are demanding world governments to swiftly conclude the treaty negotiations at IGC4, to ensure the protection and survival of marine biodiversity in areas beyond national jurisdiction, to safeguard the livelihoods of coastal and Indigenous communities that depend on the ocean, and to help support a healthy ocean and its role as a major climate solution.
