On 10 June, 2021, the High Seas Alliance, in collaboration with the Nobel Peace Center, hosted a 2-hour seminar entitled The Forgotten Half of the Planet: The High Seas — Youth Leadership Advancing the UN High Seas Treaty.
The event bought together youth leaders from across Norway and the world to discuss the urgent role youth can and must play in advancing the United Nations High Seas Treaty. Vidar Helgesen, the former Norwegian Minister for Climate and Environment opened the event.
