Farzaneh is an international lawyer specialising in ocean governance and the law of the sea. She has been actively engaged in the negotiations of the BBNJ Agreement and now works on its implementation.
Prior to joining the High Seas Alliance as Implementation Support Officer, she worked as a Legal Officer at the World Bank, where she led the Ocean Governance Programme and was a core member of the Environmental Justice Working Group. She has also worked at the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea, the World Ocean Council, Human Rights at Sea, and the Sea-Watch Legal Aid Fund.
