HIGH AMBITION FOR THE HIGH SEAS

Organized by the governments of Belgium, Costa Rica, France and the European Union, together with The Blue Leaders, the High Ambition Coalition on Biodiversity Beyond National Jurisdiction, and support from the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), the High Seas Alliance, Bloomberg Philanthropies, Mission Blue and the Pew Charitable Trusts, this event marks the opening of the High Seas Treaty for signature in New York at the United Nations from September 20. It’s a pivotal gathering to celebrate this historic moment and discuss the vital issue of High Seas Treaty ratification and implementation.
