The High Seas, What’s at Stake?

Three months before negotiations of an international instrument for the conservation and sustainable use of high seas biodiversity begin at the United Nations in New York, The High Seas Alliance organizes with the Oceanographic Institute, Albert I Foundation, Prince of Monaco, the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, the Tara Foundation, the Institute on Sustainable Development and International Relations (IDDRI), Nausicaá and with support from The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), The Nature Conservancy (TNC), The Pew Charitable Trusts an international conference about the stake of the high Seas. The French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, The French Ministry of Ecological and Solidary Transition and the Office of the United Nations Secretary General Special Envoy for the Ocean will also participate at this event.

LA HAUTE MER, QUELS ENJEUX ?

CONFÉRENCE INTERNATIONALE Á PARIS – 21 JUIN 2018

Trois mois avant l’ouverture de la négociation d’un instrument juridique international pour la conservation et  l’utilisation durable de la  biodiversité en  haute mer au  siège des Nations  unies à New York, l’Alliance pour la Haute Mer organise avec l’Institut océanographique, Fondation Albert Ier, Prince de Monaco, la Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco,  la Fondation  Tara,  l’Institut du Développement Durable et des Relations Internationale s (Iddri), Nausicaá et le soutien du Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), de Nature Conservancy (TNC), et Pew Charitable Trusts une conférence internationale sur les enjeux de la haute mer.

Le Ministère de l’Europe et des Affaires Étrangères, le Ministère de la Transition écologique et solidaire et le Bureau de l’envoyé Spécial pour l’Océan du Secrétaire Général des Nations unies participeront à cet évènement.
